Drone Design Challenge

Welcome to the 3rd edition of K12 Design Challenge 2023
The competition aims to accelerate the practical use of the latest technology in drones and encourages young learners to conceptualize a futuristic design concept that can be used to help solve today’s problem for tomorrow.
Students ranging from the age group of 8 to 18 years can participate in this challenge under the primary and secondary school category. To participate in this challenge, students need to enroll for an online workshop where they can learn about drones and get trained on the design software.

The phases

Participants must design a Drone and submit the Design for evaluation. The winners will be
selected by voting and expert panel.

IDEATE

If you would design a drone: What is the problem that your drone would solve? How would the drone look? What components will your Drone use?

DESIGN

Using CAD software convert your idea into a 3D model, the size of the model must be no larger than 10" x 10" x 10" (254 x 254 x 254 mm.

WIN

Shortlisted participants will present the Design to the panel of judges and the ultimate winners will be selected.

Judging

Presentation

Quality and clarity of presentation, Marketability and Feasibility of the design will be evaluated

Innovation

Judging panel will look at the degree of innovation, Functionality and Usefulness of the drone designed
